Friday June 29

What a day we had yesterday.  We left Milwaukee and headed down to Beloit to see Mom and Brent for the night.  Randy, Tony, Noah and I went to a Historic Automobile Museum in Roscoe, IL.  It was a really neat place and we had some fun.  Thankfully, mom kept Memphis for us so that we could enjoy and not have to worry about Memphis getting upset.

The car that Bonnie and Clyde were shot in.

Al Capone's truck or one of them anyway.

Noah next to a big guitar!  Wax figures of Johnny Cash and June Carter were on the other side.

Tony playing the big guitar!

Randy reading up on the curse of James Dean's car.  Interesting story!

Tony loving on Marilyn Monroe!!!

Show us your strength, Tony!

Ghost Buster II car!

Batman!

They had 3 bat mobiles there...all pretty cool.

Yep that is right...the National Lampoon's Vacation station wagon!

Noah resting by BigFoot

And a picture of me to prove that I was actually there!

Then for dinner we headed to Big Papa's BBQ.  It was amazing and as close as it is going to get to Memphis BBQ without going to Memphis!

Okay super cute picture but for some reason I wasn't able to rotate it...I tried like 6 times.  But this is Memphis with the owner of Big Papa BBQ.  He is showing off his tattoo!

Noah, Tony and Memphis showing off their tats!

Thursday Night June 28

Well Mom made it to Milwaukee and the kids were excited to see her.  We also got to go to dinner with Wayne, Bette, and Jeffrey.  We had a great time at dinner and then got to go to Kopp's for some ice cream...YUM!  Memphis did get his first small taste of ice cream and I think he liked it...but I forgot to take a picture but we are less than a month from his Birthday so he will get another chance to try some more!

We are having a great time!

Grammy and Memphis having a good time!

Noah, GG, and Wayne (thank you guys for a wonderful night, we enjoyed catching up with you all!!!)

Thursday June 28

This morning we all slept in a little bit as we didn't get to Milwaukee until after midnight.  And at that point Memphis thought he should be up for another hour and half!  UGH!  But at least we made it and we have officially started our vacation.

Today the boys are off to the Harley Davidson Museum and I am hanging out with Nan and Memphis with Mom joining us later.  We are meeting Wayne, Bette and Jeff for dinner tonight, can't wait to catch up with them.

We have lots planned for the next few days as tomorrow we head down to Beloit to go to another museum (a historic car museum) and then to dinner at this supposed wonderfully great BBQ restaurant.  I will give you an update later if it was good or not :)

Saturday we take off for the cabin to just RELAX.  We plan to go fishing, find this pizza place Tony wants to try and then do some shopping.

Tony and Memphis running around the house.

I think they are having fun!

This morning Noah and GG went to Wal-Mart and GG got him a Spider Man hand.

It shoots silly string or water.  Oh the fun we will have!  Thanks GG!

Tuesday June 26

Tonight was Noah's last baseball game and boy did he end doing wonderfully!  He played so well and he has improved so much.  He got a great hit but some other kid caught the ball.  He was catcher tonight and let me say that Noah does a great job catching.  He hustled after the balls and just did a fantastic job.  It was so much fun watching him this summer.  Thank you Noah for really trying your best this summer.  We loved watching you play even when you would turn around and look at the fence or pick grass or sit down in the middle of the field during a game!  Love you more Buddy!

Batting practice before the game!

Hey Batter, Batter, Batter....SWING!

Way to go Noah!

Saturday June 23

This morning Memphis and I headed down to Creston to watch Emma play softball.  This is her first year playing and she is really doing a nice job.  She has learned a lot and is really improving!  It was fun to watch her play, we just wish it would have been a warmer day.  Brrr!!!  (really it was cold like in the 60s and it was misting, making it feel even colder)

Rigs, Cameron (my cousin Tracy's daughter), Memphis and Jaycee...everyone was cold and right after this picture Memphis and I went to the car to warm up while Jaycee and Cameron got under the blanket to warm up!

Emma at bat, she did a nice job!  Way to go Emma!

Saturday June 16

Well, I am going to make an attempt to update this blog!  Sorry, that I have been gone for so long but we have been busy and I have fallen behind on picture taking.  But alas, I am back on track.

On Saturday we went to the Johnston Green Days Parade with Grandma Peggy.  We had a wonderful time and Noah scored TONS of candy...just what the kid needs!

Memphis chillin during the parade!

Noah eating some of his candy!

Noah and Grandma!

Hurry Noah and get the candy!

Friday June 15

So Friday morning I come walking into Memphis' bedroom to find him sitting up in his crib!  He thinks he is pretty big stuff because he can now pull him self up to sit and we are really trying to pull ourselves up to stand too!!!  AMAZING how BIG he is getting and so quickly.

Ready to go for the day Mom!!!

Wednesday June 12

As we were sitting on the couch and chair last night, each of us had a kid in our arms.  Noah wasn't feeling the best as his allergies had gotten the best of him and he was tired.  Memphis was a little cranky because he is getting another tooth and he was also sleepy.  Noah was asleep by 7pm and Memphis napped for a while but was in bed by 9pm.  However, as Randy and I sat with our boys we decided that nothing else was better than to have those boys in our arms!  Blessed we are to have 2 wonderful boys and each other.  Love you More!

Monday June 11

For sometime now Randy has contemplated selling his Harley.  (yes, I know what you are thinking, really the kid who was so happy to have a Harley is now thinking of getting rid of it!)  Randy said that he has had some very close calls on his bike and this had made him stop and think about a lot of things, including being there for his family.  With that being said and after several months (around a year) of thinking and pondering he decided that he was going to sell his bike.  This was a very tough call for him as he hated to part with his bike but he also knew that he wanted something that the whole family could enjoy together.  Then one day he listed it and it was sold right away, it was a sad day in our house to see the bike go. (especially for Noah who was and still is in love with that Harley, but I am sure the time will come and we will have another bike down the road)

So over the last couple of weeks we have looked at several mustangs and jeep wranglers.  On Saturday he finally found one that would be good for us a 1989 GT Convertible Mustang.  The mustang has low miles and a great body.  We can't wait to get in it as a family and cruise around town!!

What a beaut!!!

Saturday June 9

Today all of us went over to Lansing, Iowa to explore the Mighty Muddy Mississippi River with Jaycee and Memphis.  We visited a marina and a look out point while there and caught some fanastic views of the river.  Now we only need a boat so we can enjoy the views up close!  So hurry up Papa B and buy that pontoon boat!!!  We will be waiting patiently for you to buy it   :)

We have enjoyed our 5 day trip, we take off tomorrow to go back home.  We have had lots of fun and can't wait to come back to visit.

Nan, Jaycee, Mom and Memphis at the lookout point in Lansing.
Jaycee, myself, Memphis and Nan at the marina near the Lansing Bridge.

A great view of the Lansing Bridge from the lookout point.  This is about 5 miles away from Mom and Brent's house and Nan's Cabin.  This is similar to the view that they get to look at during the summer!  BEAUTIFUL!

Friday June 8

Today Nan (my grandma) and I went golfing.  Now let me tell you, it has been a long while since I have been out golfing!  But I had a great time going out and swinging the club around and thankfully I was allowed several mulligans!
When we got home the kids got to swim and we all continued to relax.
Enjoying my new summer drink and a great view from Mom's deck!

Having fun with Jaycee and Memphis

Memphis and Jaycee having fun swimming!  These two have had so much fun together.

Thursday June 7

Today was a day of shopping, which we found a great kids store up in La Crosse!  Great deals and cool clothes.  When we got home the kids played in the pool while some of us had an adult beverage!
Having lots of fun.

Love swimming!
Lots of fun

Wednesday June 6

Today I traveled with Memphis and Jaycee to see my mom and grandma up in Ferryville, Wisconsin.  Mom and Brent just finished building their dream home and it is beautiful...I just love being up here. The drive up here was not bad, I was only asked several times are we there yet...but we did finally make it.
On our agenda...RELAX!
