Halloween

The last couple of days we have been Trick or Treating all over!  Monday we visited Great Grandma Palmer's House and were able to do trick or treating with Grandma and Grandpa Palmer, Chris and Sara, and Tony!  After that we headed to Ankeny to see Great Grandma Bailey.  On Tuesday we headed to see Aunt Nancy and then went around our neighborhood!  We love dressing up but I am happy that it is over.

Our Little Honest Abe!

Our dragon didn't want to stay put!  He was tired of having his picture taken.

He says, "See ya later!"

Trick or Treat!

One last picture with Aunt Nancy...Memphis was so done being in that costume.

Saturday October 27

Saturday night we braved the cold and took Memphis to Living History Farms to trick or treat!  We went with Tyler, Tori, Rigs, Jaycee, Dad and Emma.  We had a nice time...except it was a little cool out.  We were hoping to run into Noah and his Mom as they were out there at the same time as we were but we just missed them!  Dang!
As a side not we did put a snow suit on Memphis under his costume so that he would be nice and toasty, but the kid refused to wear gloves, hands were a little cold by the time we were done, but he was all smiles!

Emma (the M&M package), Jaycee (the Green M&M), Riggins (Orange M&M), and Memphis (the Purple Dragon).  Tyler had to hold Rigs in place as he refused all pictures on Saturday Night

Jaycee and Emma getting some candy

Group picture!  Glad Emma, Randy and Tori were all smiling!

We had to keep moving along or our "chubby" little dragon would want to get out of his stroller.  Which we did let him for a while but it was too tough to walk because he wasn't used to his snow suit so he just wobbled every where!  HILARIOUS!

Living History Farms Town all lit up for the event

A barn with a smiley face!  (I thought it was cool because it looks like the face is just hanging in mid air)

We had to stop next to the HUGE pumpkin!

Halloween Parties

Yesterday both Noah and Memphis had Halloween Parties.  Memphis started his day out with his party at Karen's house.  Noah ended his day at Scouts with a Halloween Party!  From the sounds and looks of it, both boys had a great day!

Zach as Scooby Doo and Memphis the Dragon!  (Thanks Sara for getting great photos over your lunch and posting them on your blog!)
Noah at Scouts for his Halloween party!  What a great looking pirate!  ARG!  (thanks to Shawna for sending me this picture as I was sitting at conferences all night long!)

Pumpkin Time

Tuesday Night after pictures we got home and carved pumpkins.  We had a lot of fun and Noah was excited to get his hands messy!

Memphis checking out his pumpkin!

Randy and Noah cleaning out their pumpkins

I promise it was  warm night as to the reason Noah wass in shorts and no shirt!

Noah trying to make his eyes really big and round like his pumpkin (which is next to him)

Still trying to make those eyes round!

Family Pictures

Tuesday Night we took our family pictures down in Valley Junction.  Mandy Brill took our pictures and she did a wonderful job!  Mandy is one of my old players that I coached at Winterset.  Hard to believe she is going in for her first "real" interview today for a nursing job up in Mason City, good luck Mandy!

But here are a few photos from last night that she posted on Facebook.  If you go to my facebook page you will see more pictures!

Tuesday October 23

Well first I have completely forgotten that I passed my one year anniversary of being a blogger!  October 10, 2011 was the day I started and am so happy that I decided to start.  My family loves it as they are not in town and it gives them a chance to see what we are doing!

Second, I have to show you all what Noah has been up too.  On Sunday we took family pictures over at Peggy and Craig's house for their Christmas card.  We set the camera on a timer and took about 15 pictures.  We put Noah on the John Deere Tractor (so he was sitting behind everyone).  We couldn't really see what he was doing as we thought he was sitting there smiling.  Oh, he was smiling but also being a 7 year old!  This kid was hamming it up through each picture as he knew no one was watching, next time he will be in front and there will be no goofing around.  However, enjoy the pictures.

Not so bad

Where did you go?

Yeah Dude!

Seriously!

Yikes I might be in trouble!

But I do not care if I am in trouble!

Yeah just one more face!

Okay, I get it, I will SMILE!
This kid sure knows how to make you laugh, he might test our patience at times but our world is complete with him in it!  We love you more Noah Matthew!

Friday Night October 19

Friday night we all got our hair cut.  Memphis was first and he did pretty good...for about one minute!  He sat fine for Tori to put the cape on him and then he decided he didn't like the cape so he did everything he could to get that off.  Next, we had to have him sit on Randy's lap to get his hair cut, this worked for a while.  We also gave him a barbie doll to play with (that helped for about 30 seconds).  Tori was finally able to get his sides and back all done but struggled to get the front done, so she took him to the bathroom and let him play with water and she was able to cut his front.  Tori, did a great job, not for sure how she was able to get him to sit still long enough to able to cut his hair but she did it!  Thank you Aunt Tori!

The rest of us got our haircuts.  But thankfully none of us had to play with a doll to keep us entertained!!!

The reason why we needed a haircut!  Look at those bangs!

Yep!  Not sitting still for nothing...

First locks of hair being cut off!

Playing with the doll!  Good thing Aunt Tori cuts fast!

More hair coming off

Another calm moment.

And we are done!

Ready to be done with this whole experience.

Come on, aren't we done with this yet?  I do have to say, Memphis you look pretty stinking cute with your new haircut!
