Thursday January 30

Tonight was a low key night at home.  Randy went out for a bit with Craig to look at some tires and rims.  So while they were gone Memphis and I hung out for a bit.  He loves cookies so he ate one of Aunt Nancy's heart sugar cookies.

He figured out that the icing was not the kind you could just really lick off (I think he was a bit disappointed) so next time I will have to get him a cookie that he can lick the frosting off of...wait what am I thinking...that would just mean more sugar for him...yeah that won't happen!!!  HA!

Monday January 27

Last night we all sat down and were reading.  Noah has to read 100 minutes a week and he has been on a roll reading so we wanted to take advantage of this.  As Noah got out his book so did Memphis and he went to Randy and said story time!  While Randy read to Memphis, Noah and I did our own reading.  However, Memphis doesn't last long during story time so he eventually went to play while the 3 of us read our books!
Nice family time without the TV on!

Sunday January 26

Happy Birthday Zachary Tate Palmer!  Hard to believe that he is 5 years old!
Today we celebrated Zach's Birthday at Chuck E. Cheese.  The boys all had fun and even us adults for the most part!
Happy Birthday!

Friday January 24

This morning Memphis stood still long enough for me to get a picture of him wearing his new Green Bay Packer outfit that Grammie and Papa B got him for Christmas!
I might not always cheer on the Packers but have decided that if Memphis wears this outfit I might become a fan (I mean seriously, he is pretty stinking cute, how could you not be a Packer fan??)
I have a feeling though that Randy and Noah might disagree as they are Bronco fans and well I just like Peyton Manning (who doesn't?)!

Tuesday January 21

After work my friend Kathy and I headed down to Creston to get our hair done at Tori's new shop!  It is so cute and nice.  It is now inside my brother's fitness center he is opening in Creston.
Tori and I decided that I needed a change in my hair color so I let her do her thing!
New color for me, new awesome digs for Tori!  (I will have better pictures of her salon at their open house)

Tyler and Tori will have an open house for the opening of Hanson Fitness and the reopening of the Color Secret on Friday January 31 and Saturday February 1.  I will have many more pictures then, but until then here is a sneak peak!
I couldn't be more proud of my brother for doing what he has always wanted to do!

Sunday January 19

Sunday morning Memphis and I got up and I made breakfast for us.  He loves the protein pancakes I make so he ate a whole pancake with syrup.  Then I had some toast with butter and jelly, Memphis saw this and he wanted some, I was unsure if he would like it (don't know why I was unsure, he loves to eat just plain bread).  So I gave him my toast and he ate it all and wanted more.  So I made another, and I had to take pictures of how he ate his toast this time through!

Yep, he loves the homemade jelly!  Grandma Bailey this is your jelly, I think he would have just ate it out of the jar!  He didn't finish this piece of toast but he did lick most of the jelly off the piece of toast!

Saturday January 18

Today Noah had his pinewood derby race for Cub Scouts!  Noah looks forward to this each year, but this year his car did not do the best but Noah had a little brother who was so excited to watch his brother's car race!
Top right picture, Noah's car is in the first lane.  Bottom right picture his car is in the far lane.  You can tell by Memphis' face when sitting with Peggy how excited he was!

One of Memphis' Christmas gifts was a teepee! The kid loves it!  He even slept in it one night and will take naps in it too.  However the other day I found him using it as a parking garage for all of his ride on toys!  This kid makes me smile daily!

Enzo + Rabbit=Freaked out Mom

*So I will caution you, if you do not like a rabbit in a dog's mouth don't look and you should probably quit reading!

One morning over break the boys and I are all going about our normal morning routine, you know cartoons, a little breakfast and letting the dogs outside.  Well as I go to let Enzo (our greyhound) in she is carrying a rabbit up to the door.  She had finally did it (again) caught a rabbit!  Well at this point I freak out completely!  The boys thought it was hilarious.  Memphis just sat right in front of the window just watching everything and laughing.  Noah was right there with him except he wanted to go outside and get the rabbit from Enzo.  I refused to look to much at the rabbit.  I felt bad for the poor thing (yes, I know it was already dead, but still).
I had to call Randy at work because to ask what I should do because I was not going to let Enzo in my house with that rabbit.  He told me to put on gloves and go and get it from her...WHAT????  He was out of his mind, there was NO WAY that was happening!  So thankfully, my wonderful father-n-law came over and he took care of everything and even made sure Enzo was cleaned up, not that she was real dirty, but clean enough to be inside.

Picture below of Enzo with her prize!

Saturday January 11

This weekend my mom and Brent headed to Iowa.  We all met at my brother's house for yet another Christmas!  Let me say, I have to get back on a diet and not just for 5 days at a time!  Glad we are done with Christmases but oh so happy that my Mom came and we got to celebrate!!!
We had a good time of catching up and finally get to meet Gypsy Grace, aka GG, their new Golden Doodle (yes a black and white one!)
GG was so much fun for the kids but puppies are a lot of work, glad it is Mom and Brent and not me!
The highlight of Christmas with Mom was when we opened our envelopes and inside was an invitation for an all inclusive (air fare, hotel and parks) paid trip to Disney World either December 2014 or December 2015!!!  WHOOP, WHOOP!!!  We are all pretty excited even if it is at least a year or two away!  What an awesome gift and we couldn't be more thrilled!  Thank you Mom and Brent.
We will also get to go with my Auntie Peggy, Uncle Brian, Bre and Family and Brittany!  Last time we all made the trip will be 15 years in December, what a way to celebrate, the only person we will be missing is Nan but she will be with us as she always is!

Love the picture of Brent and Memphis, notice the popcorn they are sharing on Papa B's belly!  Memphis would just help himself and loved watching the football game with Papa (he sat still for like a whole 3 minutes)!

Friday January 3

Randy and Noah went to the Monster Truck Jam on Friday and met up with Craig, Chris and Zach!  They all had a blast and love watching those big trucks!  Randy sent me a few pictures of the fun they were having.

Love the faces of Zachary Tate!

So while the boys are watching big trucks do tricks and flip over...

...Memphis and I are snuggling at home and I have a feeling next year I will be snuggling all by myself as Memphis will be attending I am quite sure!

Thursday January 2

Today Noah had his jousting tournament for scouts!  He won his first match ever!  We couldn't have been more proud of him.  On most days Noah really enjoys scouts, its hard to believe that Scouts are almost done for the year as his Blue and Gold banquet will be in February and this month we still have the pinewood derby!  Randy and Noah are busy designing the car and i am sure Noah can't wait to paint it, he got to cut it out the other night so paint will be the next step!!!

Potty Training!

Okay so we have not officially started to potty train but it is getting close because Memphis is starting to tell us when he needs to go!  However, what is really starting to happen is that he is now just taking his clothes off and taking his diaper off to tell me that he needs changed!  Ugh, do you have any idea how many diapers we go through?  The kid is ready to potty train so I think it is time Randy and I get on board with it!  Stay tuned for all kinds of fun updates on this one!!!

Christmas with the Hanson Family

We waited until New Year's Eve to celebrate with my dad and brother but we had a nice time.
We started out with great soups and subs.  After we all ate we went and opened gifts.  We all got great gifts and everyone was happy.
After gifts we sat around playing phase 10 but then Tyler got side tracked and thought that Emma and I should arm wrestle!  When we were about ready to start, my dad yells, "No Memphis!" At this point dad is grabbing dried habannero spices out of Memphis' hand and then the crying starts as he realizes how hot this stuff is.  (my Uncle Kim made this homemade and very spicy to the point to just smelling it makes you cough and eyes water, you can imagine what the taste does to a 2 year old)!  I grab Memphis and we immediately get him some milk and donuts (didn't have any bread left and plus that he likes donuts!) to help calm the spiciness in his mouth.  About 5 to 10 minutes later all was good and we decided that most of the spice ended up on the floor, we think we might have scared him more than anything and that he probably only got a small amount...thankfully!  We did call a friend of ours that is a nurse practitioner and she told us that Memphis would be okay just give him milk and bread or donuts in our case!
So needless to say the arm wrestling never happened and with that I am okay!

Our next boy band!

The arm wrestling match that never happened!

Christmas Eve Day

After Santa arrived we got all washed up and headed over to Randy's parents for more Christmas fun!  It was our Christmas with the Palmer side.  Craig and Peggy had a big spread of presents for everyone and the dinner was great!  Again, sucked at taking pictures, think my New Year's Resolution should be to take more pictures (seemed like a theme this year of me not taking pictures, maybe I need a new camera that is smaller...hint, hint!)
Again we had lots of fun and are so grateful for the wonderful family we have!
The boys had lots of great gifts!  Memphis definitely had a Bubble Guppies Christmas and Noah got lots of cool things (dvd player, hex bug thing and nerf gun)
Randy and I also got some great gifts!  Thanks to everyone!

Christmas Eve

This morning Santa arrived a day early since that is when Noah is with us.  I hardly had a chance to get any pictures of the boys as they tore right into their gifts and I was still half a sleep!  Noah told us his Christmas was EPIC!  Santa brought him a TV for his room and the Disney Infinity for the Wii that now gets to go in his room.  He was so excited.  Memphis was a little more calm but soon figured out that you are to just tear into the gifts!  Sorry that my only pictures are of Memphis but Noah was way too excited to sit still!  Which, isn't that what Christmas is about?!?
This morning Grandpa and Grandma Palmer came over and brought us breakfast!  Oh so yum!  Glad we have made it a tradition for them to come over and see what Santa brought the boys, Noah looks forward to them coming over and I am sure Memphis will soon too!

Lots of Catching up to do!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  Goodness, I have been missing for a few weeks but we had a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year.  We had several Christmases to celebrate and we had lots of fun.  I wish I could share all of the wonderful pictures with you but I will soon as I forgot to send myself the pictures from Randy's phone!  UGH!
However, on a great note, it's Thursday and that means a short week and it means I am back to work, which on that note, peace out because I have to get ready for a whole new semester!  I promise to have pictures soon, just won't be today.
And on a quick note, this morning I hear Memphis getting up and I was down in the basement getting ready this morning and I hear those little feet running across the floor.  He meets me at the top of the stairs and holds his hands out and I get the biggest hug and kiss from him this morning and he was the happiest 2 year old this morning!  Love it!
