November 30

Last night we got to watch Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.  Noah is so happy that all of the Christmas cartoons are now on TV.
In the middle of the night, Noah woke up with an ear ache.  Ugh!  These boys and their ear infections.  He is going to the doctor today and will hopefully be doing better because we head to Wisconsin on Friday to see Grammy and Grandpa B.
Watching Rudolph!!!
Rudolph!
While they were watching Rudolph, Memphis and I were playing on the floor.
I walked into Noah's room after he had fallen asleep to unplug his Christmas Tree and found him all curled up with his dog Patch.  Way too cute for me not to take a picture.  Not for sure how the flash didn't wake him up but he slept right through it!

November 29

Not much going on last night.  We had dinner at Great Grandma Palmer's house and then home.  Very quiet and nice evening.

Noah showing off his white beard!!!

And just like his dad, he shaved it all off!  Yes, Randy is done with No Shave November...he ended it on Thanksgiving! YAY!

Lots of catching up!

Days 23-28:  Completely thankful for all of my family and friends!  I think this will round out my thankfulness as it is family and friends who can make life wonderful.

Over Thanksgiving we had lots of fun and time to catch up with family.  Wednesday night we went to Creston to put up Grandpa's tree and then headed over to my 2nd family's house, the Miller household!

Oh my goodness it was so GREAT to see everyone.  I have forgotten how much I miss them.  Brandi, Brooke, Bailey, and Blake were all home.  It was nice to Mariana there and catch up with her.  I also got to meet Brooke and Bailey's BFs.  They are wonderful guys and I wish you all the best.  We had a wonderful greek dinner.  My god parents were also there, Ralph and Jan!  And last but not least we got to see John!!!   Memphis seemed a little overwhelmed at the Miller house but did pretty well.

Lets see, Thanksgiving day we spent with the Palmer's at the Legion.  Lunch was great as usual!  After that we went home and spent the day relaxing as Memphis decided not to sleep much on Wednesday night.  He started to run a fever but tylenol seemed to help quite a bit.  Memphis also had his first night away from Mom and Dad as he spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa Palmer's house on Thursday night.   That Friday morning when I got him we all decided it was time to go to the doctor.  So I took him and he has his first ear infection.  But glad to report he is doing much better!

I decided to do the Black Friday shopping with my friend Jo and her mom, Chris.  We had a wonderful time and got some great buys!

We finally got our first picture with Grandpa Bill and Memphis!  Just makes my heart melt.

Brandi and Memphis!  Brandi agreed to be one of Memphis' Godparents.

Day 22

Today I am thankful for playing games with my family.  Candy Land was always a favorite!  Noah beat us but a rematch will be soon!!!  I think I made my Uncle Brian play this game every time I saw him as a kid.  What a lucky man you were Uncle Brian, love ya!

Noah winning Candy Land!

Randy and Noah playing motorcycles.

Today Memphis is 18 weeks old!  Yesterday he went to the doctor and he weighed 13.2 lbs and 24 inches long.  After getting shots yesterday he was pretty grouchy but this morning he was all smiles!

Day 21

I am thankful for a short work week!  Only work today and Tuesday.  YAY!
By the way I have to share this adorable picture another reason why I am glad it is a short work week...get to spend more time with Memphis and Noah!

I love this boy so much!

Weekend and Days 18-20

Saturday night Dad, Tara and Emma decided to come to town to take us out to eat.  We introduced them to sushi.  Dad wasn't fond of it (but said it was okay) but Tara thought it was okay!  Wish I would have had my camera as I would have loved to have gotten a picture of Dad trying to eat the sushi with a fork!  Love ya dad!!! Therefore, I am thankful for Dad, Tara and Emma, it was so nice to spend the evening with them.
After dinner with the family we decided to decorate the house for Christmas.  Noah was so excited and couldn't wait.  He helped to put the ornaments on the tree and was a BIG helper.
Well this was the only picture we got of decorating.  Memphis looks traumatized, poor kid!

Sunday
I am thankful for BIG helpers!  Noah was such a big help on Saturday.  He helped me make cookies and decorate.  I couldn't have asked for a better Saturday.
Sunday we relaxed most of the day and ended the night with dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Palmer's house.  Peggy fixed a great meal!

Santa's Arrival

Friday night we meet up with Chris, Sara and Zach and Jordan Creek Town Center for the arrival of SANTA!  We listened to the dueling pianos play Christmas music and the boys got to dance and burn off some energy.  Little Memphis got too cold so Randy and Memphis went into the mall and were able to warm up and find some good buys.
Not for sure what is up with the "Popeye" smile but these two boys are so cute!
Randy before he headed into the mall.
Noah had to sit on this rock to take a picture.  He is in to posing for pictures these days.

e
The boys dancing to the music!

Looks like Zach has taken after Noah on his smiling abilities.

The fireworks ended the event!  What a great night!

Days 17 and 18

Yesterday was so busy!  Never had a chance to get on.  Yesterday I was thankful for a great day at school!  Us teachers had a great Thanksgiving Day Meal (it was so delicious).
Today I am thankful that it is Friday!  (Have I picked this one already?)  If I have, too bad!  I love Fridays!  Enjoy the weekend.
Memphis hanging out with his zebra!

Day 16

Today I am thankful to have just made it to work!
I feel like I have been running in circles lately!  My cold/allergies/sinuses have been driving me crazy and today I am feeling the effects.
This is an older picture of Memphis, but thought it reflected exactly how I feel!

Day 15

Today I am thankful for baby smiles during a bath!

Memphis is really starting to love bath time.  I am sure once he can really hold his head up he will enjoy it much more!

Day 14

I am thankful to have a wonderful job at Johnston High School.  It is so nice to be close to home and my family.
*However, all of you Winterset peeps!  I do miss you!
This is why I am happy to be working close to home.  These two boys are so precious to me.  By the way look how Memphis just stares at Noah, Memphis just loves to hear Noah's voice.   I think these two are already scheming!   YIKES!

Days 12 and 13

Day 12
Thankful for being able to cheer on the Hawkeyes.  Whether we win or lose it is still fun with these two boys!
Day 13
Thankful to have a house where I can keep my family warm.

This weekend we didn't do a lot.  Randy got the garage cleaned out and ready for winter.  We can finally park in the garage!  He did a great job and it looks awesome!

Day 11

Today I am thankful for my cell phone.  Yes, some may think, "WHAT?"  But, I say this because it is my life line to my family and friends.  It gives me the instant phone call I need with one of my family members or friends.  So yeah, I am thankful for that cell phone!

Last night, Noah had a cub scouts meeting and it was the first time he was all decked out in his scouts attire.  They also had to make a shield for their jousting tournament.  He had a lot of fun making his shield with Randy.  When Noah, walked into the meeting with his shield you could hear the kids saying, "wow look at his, how did he do that?"  Noah was smiling ear to ear!!!
Noah also earned his first badge.  It was the bobcat badge.  He did excellent!  I was so proud and Randy was just beaming watching Noah the entire night.  Absolutely melted my heart.

Noah was very proud!  How cute is this kid?!?  (sorry the picture isn't the best, it came from my phone)

Day 10

Today I am thankful for Memphis' smile.  This little turkey has the best smile and it brings me joy each time he looks at me and smiles that toothless smile!

Day 9

Today I am thankful for all of my friends.  I know we don't always get to see each other but I love and miss you all!
This group of ladies are some of my best friends.

Side Note:  Last night it decided to snow.  Yes not happy, but Noah was so excited because it was now finally winter and that meant that Christmas is real close!  Gotta love how kids think.  Made my day with how excited he was.

Day 8

Today I am thankful for 2 wonderful sister-in-laws. You two ladies would do anything and everything for me and my family. Thank you and love you!

I should add I love that brother-in-law of mine also (Chris)!  Even though he thinks that the guys need to participate in No Shave November!

Monday November 7

Day 7 of being thankful:  Today I am thankful for my adorable niece and nephews.  You 3 are the funniest little kids I know and thank you for always making me smile when I see you!

Grandpa just hanging out!!!

Nan...why don't I have any pictures of you?  Love you more!

Friday Nov. 4

Today I am thankful for my dad who has always supported and  believed in me.

Thankful

I am going to follow the trend and I try to blog what I am thankful for each day during November.
I have a few days of catching up to do so I will have 3 things I am thankful for today.
I am thankful for...
1) 2 healthy little boys (Noah and Memphis)

2) My husband who will do anything and everything for me/us.
Old photo from our Wedding.

3) My mom who is truly an amazing woman.
Yep, another old photo!  Love you mom!

And a Happy 30th Birthday to Tori!!!!  I am glad you can finally join Club 30!

Halloween!

Last night we got the boys all dressed up and headed out to trick or treat.  We went to Grandma Palmer's house and then to Grandma Bailey's!  We had lots of fun, but towards the end, Memphis started to get a little cranky and Noah was ready to just eat his candy!

Uncle Chris trying to make Memphis happy!  It worked for a while...then mom (me)  had to come to the rescue!

Zach our little superman!  He smiled great for me...not so much for his mom!

Ready to go trick or treating!

Cowboy Noah!   Yes, we are still working on the smile.

Superman and Cowboy are trying to figure out the rope...

All 3 finally sitting still long enough for a picture!  Some pretty cute boys if you ask me.

My two boys!  Look at that great smile Noah has (now how do I get him to do that all the time?)  Why so serious, Memphis?

Grandma Palmer getting some Memphis Time.

Papa and Grandma with all of the grand kids.

Papa trying to get everyone to sit still!

This photo was about impossible as the boys were plain tired off having their pictures taken.  But Great Grandma was loving having her great grand boys all around her.

Our last stop was with Great Grandma Bailey.  We were sorry we couldn't stay longer but thankfully she understood!

Great Grandma checking on Memphis!  I think she decided that he was definitely the cutest pumpkin she has seen!
