Tuesday January 31

Happy 82nd Birthday to my Grandpa Bill!  You are one amazing man!

Over the weekend Tyler and Tori got moved into their new house.  It is a very nice house that is out in the country near Norwalk.  I think I finally found the way I can get there without being on dirt/gravel roads!  They found a very nice house with LOTS of room.  I think Jaycee thinks they hit jackpot as she loves her new house.  By the way thank you for dinner last night, Tyler and Tori!

Ok single parents, good job to you!  With Randy being gone last night I had the kids to myself and it wasn't so bad until bed time.  I finally get Noah to bed and then Memphis.  Then I can't sleep, then Memphis wakes up screaming, finally falls back to sleep, I can't sleep, its now midnight, Memphis is back up, I give him a bottle of water as I think his belly hurts, finally asleep again, now 12:30am, I am still struggling falling asleep, I never do see 1am so I am assuming I fell asleep before 1am.  Noah gets up this morning and says, well Memphis slept good last night.  I look at Noah and say, "WHAT?"  He says, "Yeah I didn't hear him at all last night."  I say, "Well he was up a lot and crying."  Noah, "Guess I slept good last night if I didn't hear him."  Oh I hope Memphis and I sleep better tonight!
Jaycee Mae!

Tyler, David, and Jeremy finally getting done moving everything.  This is the dining room.

Here is the kitchen...last night it looked much better as Tori got everything put away!

Living Room...again things on wall last night and looks more like a home!  I will put updated pictures as they get done decorating and unpacking.

Jaycee and Noah...by the way these two were so ornery on Sunday.

Riggins getting ready for a nap.

Saturday January 28

Zach's Birthday Party!
We had a great time.  I think the boys did too!  Noah got all of his energy out of him and was able to swim and swim!  Memphis got his first taste of swimming and he LOVED it!  I have a feeling we will be out at the pool a lot this summer.
Zach had a great party and we all had a great time.  His party was at the Adventureland Inn, they have a great pool area.  While we were celebrating, I ran into my friend Mandy and her kids as they were out celebrating her birthday (which is tomorrow, Happy Birthday Mandy)!
I took a ton of pictures so enjoy!
Memphis getting ready for his first swim!  We had to have the hat (yes I know we were inside, but we had to have something that made us look real adorable!)

Daddy holding Memphis in the water.  He seems to love it.

Splashing in the water!

Birthday Boy Zach!  Having a blast swimming!

Zach and Chris taking a moment away from swimming so that I can take their picture.

Noah acting like a seal!  He really enjoyed swimming!

Sara and Zach!

Craig, Grandma Palmer and Grandma Bailey all taking a moment to listen to Noah's story!

Friday January 27

Happy Friday and Weekend!
We have a weekend full of fun.  Saturday afternoon we have Zach's Birthday Party.  Sunday I think we will be helping my brother and Tori move up to Des Moines!  I am so excited to have Tyler, Tori, Jaycee and Riggins closer to us.  It will be so nice to see them more often, and maybe get my hair done more often!
I will hopefully have lots of pictures for next week when I update.
LIFE IS GOOD!
My Harley Boys!  These two could spend all afternoon out on the bike together.  However, they will have to wait until at least March or April before they get back on that bike!

Thursday January 26

3 years ago today a little boy named Zachary Tate Palmer was born to my brother-in-law and sister-in-law (Chris and Sara).  Today, Zach turns 3!  He is doing so well and growing so fast!  Zachary Tate we love you more than you know.  We love to watch you grow and learn...and your cousins Noah and Memphis think you are a pretty special little guy too!  Happy Birthday, Zach!

The last few nights we have been busy at our house.  Well I say busy but I think I really mean worn out!  Tuesday night we had to go meet with Noah's teacher and principal (had a great meeting with them and Noah is doing great academically, just now need to work on behavior).  Last night we had dinner at church with Tony and then home to work out!  By the way I am on week 3 of working out and am feeling good about working out.  Lots more energy (at times) and starting to lose the weight, not a lot but enough to keep me happy!

By the way, it is Thursday!  My favorite day of the week.  Why?  Well you have everything to look forward too, I love Fridays and the weekend.  Life is Good!

Happy Birthday Zach!!!

Zach, Memphis and Noah...not the best of pictures but it was all I had of the 3 of them.  Poor Memphis was about ready to fall out of Noah's lap, but he did get rescued right after this picture was taken!

Tuesday January 24

Yesterday Memphis had his 6 month doctor appointment.  He is doing so well!
Stats
Weight: 16.4 pounds  (35%ile)
Height: 26 inches  (25%ile)

We are just so happy at how fast and well he is growing.  He did get 5 shots yesterday...ouch!  But even with his 5 shots he still slept all night long!  What a big boy!

Last night Noah decided that he wanted to read to Dad and Memphis, so I decided to take a few pictures.  You will notice that the pictures look like that are all foggy, like we were sitting in a haze of fog.  Well, you can get this affect with your camera if you accidentally leave it out in your car and then decide that you want to take pictures right when you bring it inside from sitting out in below freezing temperatures!

This one is from my phone so no fog yet!

Noah reading to everyone and Memphis thinking he needs to help!  Notice, fog starting to settle in!

The fog had settled in!  But everyone is interested in what Noah is reading.  By the way, Noah is reading so well these days!

Friday January 20

It’s Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend, weekend
Friday, Friday
Gettin’ down on Friday
Everybody’s lookin’ forward to the weekend

Okay so this song was in my head and I had to share!  It is by Rebecca Black.

Last night I splurged from my diet and we went to El Rodeo (Mexican restaurant).   I thought I was being okay because I didn't eat my normal chicken chimi.  Instead I way over did it on the chips!  However, I did go home and workout for 45 minutes.  I may have worked off the chips!  I am back on track this morning and doing well.  I will say any of you looking for a good workout program I highly suggest P90X.  It is a great way to get moving and feeling great about yourself.  I actually look forward to working out (well most days)!
Last night we had a real fussy baby.  Not for sure if it is because he may be teething or just wanted to be crabby, but he did sleep all night which he has been and that has been just WONDERFUL!

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!
Here are the faces that make me SMILE each day!

Thursday January 19

Happy 6 months today Memphis Dean!  Where does the time go?  He is growing so fast and his personality is really starting to show.  He loves to babble on and on (hmmm...maybe he gets that from his mom), we all know when he is hungry, he is rolling side to side on his back and any day he will be rolling over from back to tummy, he also loves playing with his big brother!  Memphis really is starting to become a fun little baby and we are all enjoy watching him grow and learn.  We are truly blessed that God had given us such a beautiful baby who has made our family even more complete!

Smiling for Daddy!

6 months old!

Wednesday January 18

Well week 1 is complete!  I lost weight and that is what it is all about!  It is amazing how good you can feel when you work out.  I am looking forward to our workout tonight.
Last night when Noah got home from school he wanted to go out and play in the snow.  So out he went!  He wanted Memphis to come along but it was just a little too cold for that.  Instead, Noah said he would play with the dogs.

Tuesday January 17

Well Randy and I have made it 6 full days of working out.  Today is the one day of rest we get and then back at it tomorrow.  This is really a great workout and we like doing it, but it is very tough and at times we feel very uncoordinated, I can only imagine what we look like doing the workout!
Memphis and Noah are doing well.  Memphis is growing like crazy and Noah is trying to work on behaving at school but all in all doing well!
Last night we got snow.  I really do not like snow that much but like I have said before I MUST learn to deal with it as I live in Iowa...for god's sake it snows in Iowa (this is what I have to tell myself)!
Alright I really do not have pictures today as I can't find my charger for our camera.  That is on my to do list today when I get home is to find it and then take some pictures of the boys!  But right now the camera is dead...ugh!
Hope everyone is staying warm!
Sleeping Baby...only picture I had and it came from my phone!

Saturday January 14

Saturday was a day filled with fun!  Saturday morning, Randy, Noah, Craig, Chris and Zach all went to the John Deere Day at the Fairgrounds.  I think the little boys had a great time looking at all of the big tractors.
Saturday afternoon, Noah had his Pinewood Derby Race at Saydel High School.  He was so excited for his race.  He got 3rd place and was very proud.  Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Palmer for coming and watching Noah as I know he was excited to have a cheering section!  Randy has already figured out how he and Noah will build the pinewood derby car different next year, they are already planning!
And even with all of the fun things we had to do on Saturday I still was able to get my workout in.  Today starts day 6 of the P90X and my body is still feeling it.  Like I have said, that is a good thing!
Happy Monday everyone and enjoy your week!

Everyone posing for a quick picture!

Noah waiting for the start of the race!

Noah's car is the red one that is in 3rd place!  His car did so well.

Getting his award.

All smiles to have a trophy!

Friday January 13

It's Friday!  I am so thankful for the weekend.  I am ready to spend some time with my family.  This weekend Noah has his pinewood derby race.  He is so excited about it.  Tonight he has to paint his car.  Randy and I continue to work out.  Day 2 went better than day 1.  Still very sore today but at least I know it is working.  I am just excited to see some results in the following weeks!
This is my cheering squad while we are working out!

Yep, a self portrait!  This is me during a break.  Randy didn't want his picture taken so I thought I would take my own!  :)

Cheering section had to move to the floor.  Memphis wanted to do his own exercises!!!

Thursday January 12

Sore.  As I continue on with my day the more sore I become!  But I guess that is a good thing as it means I actually worked out last night.  Randy and I finally got started on P90X last night and it is definitely a tough workout.  We will continue on tonight, hopefully that will help the soreness.

I have been behind on taking pictures so I will do my best to take a few tonight, but no promises!

Memphis is growing so fast right now.  He is so close to rolling over from his back to belly!  I can't wait for this to happen.  Right now he just rocks on his sides and he is so stinkin' cute grabbing his feet and rocking side to side!

We also welcomed in Winter last night.  Not excited, I have been enjoying the warm winter weather we have been having.  But I guess we do live in Iowa so I should just deal with it!

Just had to show this picture of Noah on Christmas!  Yes, no snow and no coat!  I think those days are long gone as wind chills are in the negatives!

A happy little Memphis from this last weekend!

Wednesday January 11

Not much going on last night or today.  I did a workout last night, just not P90X, I promise that is going to start tonight.  Last night was a night of just playing with the kids and watching TV.

Not the best of pictures as it was taken on my phone (an old phone at that!) but I just love these two boys!

Tuesday January 10

Alright wish me luck, the diet is in full swing today!  I must get myself into shape...no more eating junk and workouts here I come.  Thankfully, Randy will be right with me and we can go at this together.  It makes it much easier when there is someone to push you.
The other night we started Memphis on apple sauce.  Oh my goodness!  He loved it!  He ate lots of apple sauce and did so well.  It might have helped we fed it to him when he was hungry and not like last night when we tried to have him eat after he had his bottle.  (that was a real, "duh moment" on our part!)
YUMMY!

That was pretty good!!!

Keep it coming dad, I really like this stuff!

I think I will have to try more tomorrow!
