Saturday July 21

Today we are celebrating Memphis' 1st Birthday.  We had the party at our house with family and friends.  Memphis got to eat LOTS of icing and cake...he LOVED it!  He also got a bath shortly after eating his cake as he was a little messy.

He had fun opening gifts.  Memphis was sound asleep within an hour in a half into his own party.  He was pooped!

It was also a mustache party or kinda,as it was way too hot to be putting a mustache on your face but it was fun while it lasted, so if you see pictures of us with mustaches you know why  :)
Again, thank you to everyone who was able to celebrate with us and made a little boy's day even more special!

Happy 7th Birthday Noah Matthew!  WOW another year in the books.  Now its time to start a new chapter, I can't wait to see what it has in store for us.  Happy Birthday Buddy!

I chose this picture picture because it shows all the ways that Noah is thinking and each day this little boy is definitely up to something, whether it is good or bad!

Monday July 16

Well it has been scorching hot and we decided that it was time to get out of the house and just do something.  Randy got out our bikes and aired up the tires and we took off on a family bike ride!  We had so much fun.  We went to the park and then up to the gas station for some water and then back home in time for lunch.  We had a wonderful couple hours out and about on our bikes getting some exercise.

Memphis in his carrier for the bike ride!  And it was his 1st bike ride!!!!

Getting ready!

Saturday July 14

Today we had Noah's 7th Birthday Party!  It is amazing at how fast kids grow.  Noah is becoming such a great kid.  He is always on the go and has to always be doing something (even if that means he is getting into trouble!)  It has been fun to watch him grow and it is even harder to say that we have a 7 year old!
Noah Matthew thank you for always being there to put a smile on our faces.  You know how to make a room light up with your humor and quick wit.  You are the best BIG brother I know as you are always looking out for Memphis and trying to take care of him.  Your dad and I have LOVED every minute of watching you grow into an awesome 7 year old.  Oh this year will be filled with so much fun as you will be starting 2nd grade, trying new sports, continuing on with Boy Scouts and many more things!  We love you and are happy that you make our family complete!

Noah requested a Broncos cake!

Sunday July 8

We couldn't be more thankful for Stacie and Matt for spending a couple of Sundays with us working on the deck!  Well I should say, more Matt and Randy working and Stacie and I supervising.  But we did a heck of a job supervising.
The deck looks great as it is almost done.  Randy has to finish up with the kicks and then add railing.  But thanks to everyone who has helped and been supportive!

After a hard day of working we headed to Peggy and Craigs' house for dinner as Bonnie, Robb, and Andrea were in town for a few days.  It was nice to see and catch up with them.  We wish they lived closer but as long as they are in Cali we have a place to go and visit...now we just have to save our money for that trip!

Randy and Andrea going for a ride!  She was thrilled!!!

Thursday July 5

Bear with me as I am updating and I have a lot of filling in to do and this will put some of the stuff that we did out of order!

Over the 4th Noah mentioned that he wished that Stella's Resturant was still open (the kid has never been there but each time we go by it in Urbandale he always asks us about it).  We asked him why he wishes it was still open, his response was that the wanted a shake poured on his head.  Well I thought we will just recreate Stella's at our house.  With that Noah and I made some chocolate shakes and away we went!

Oh the fun we had, next time I think we will serve burgers, fries and shakes!

Here it comes!

Quit moving!

I think more got on Noah than in the cup!

Thursday July 19th

!!!!!Happy Birthday Memphis Dean!!!!!
Dad's posting today
The last year has gone by so fast!  Exactly 365 days ago, our family grew by 1.  Who knew just one person could change the way a household works.  The time that Jenny and/or I would coach softball, play softball, ride the Harley, and take a lazy nap at any time of the day has turned into changing diapers, moving the dog bowl, cleaning up food messes, moving the other dog bowl, drying the bathroom after a bath, removing dog food from a baby’s mouth, whispering after 8:30pm, kissing owies, making sounds with our mouth that we never knew we could make, searching the house for the kid that can now crawl, and once again moving the dog bowl.

Memphis,
How could we have ever survived without you?  Your charm and sense of humor keeps me laughing.  Your speed and agility keeps me on my feet.  Your love and innocence makes me want to hold you close and protect you from all of the evils in life.
You will have many many more birthdays as you will grow and mature into a nice young man.  Your mom and I will always love you with all of our hearts.  I have already told this to Noah too many times to count, but your dad will kiss you all your life, even after it’s awkward!

Here is the birthday boy enjoying a ride in Daddy's truck after we all went for lunch.

July 4

Well sorry for the out of order mess here, but I am trying to catch up a small bit!
Fourth of July was a day filled with FUN!  We skipped the parade this year as I thought it would be too hot for Memphis and Noah said that he was okay not going.
We spent the afternoon over at Tyler and Tori's house swimming.  We had a great time.  They then came over to our house for dinner and then we went to the Urbandale Carnival!
We ended the night with fireworks!!

Jaycee and Noah at the carnival!
Sorry I forgot my camera all day and thought oh crap I better at least take a quick picture with my phone!

Thursday July 12

Happy Birthday to my dad!  I hope you have a wonderful day!  We love you!

**Also I will try to find some time to update this blog!  I have plenty of pictures so there are some here to come soon!**

***Oh and in case you are wondering we are having an excellent summer***

Friday Night June 29

After dinner and ice cream we thought we would take the kids to the park so that we could make them extra tired and ready for bed.  Well who would have thought that the first 3 on the swings would have been three grown men!  HA!!!  We had a blast and I think the adults were more worn out than the kids!

Noah swinging away!
Memphis loving to swing!
Tony and Randy having some fun.
Mom and I getting our turn at the swings...promise we didn't plan to dress alike...plus that I had my outfit on first so if anything mom dressed like me  :)
Having FUN!
