Monday April 28

On Monday's Randy gets to stay at home with Memphis and this morning Memphis would only wear his Green Bay Packer sweatsuit!  He is so funny sometimes about demanding on what he wears!

Our little thinker!  Or maybe trouble maker!!!

Saturday April 26

On Saturday, Randy and I were able to go out with a group of friends of mine from work.  (thankfully, Peggy was able to watch Memphis so we could enjoy a night out)
We headed to the East Village and ate at Lucca.  Now we had never heard of this place but it was amazing.  Food was superb and service even better.  Highly recommend!  Maybe what made it so great was our company.  There were 8 of us total and we shared in many laughs.  Now all of the ladies in the group shared the same name, Jennifer/Jenny/Jen!
When you go out with teachers you tend to talk school a lot and our poor spouses had to put up with us.  But to be honest, I thought we were pretty funny!  However, Randy made a buddy as Mark (Jen's husband) is into cars about as much as Randy is so they hit it off right away!

Friday April 25

Today Noah had his science showcase at school.  The 3rd graders were in charge of the solar system.  He named his planet Disco Planet!  I will not go into detail about us building this planet as there were some not so good moments but there were moments that were just fine and that is what we will concentrate on!  HA!  And plus that look at this great planet he created!!!!
Great job Noah!!!!  (aslo if you look close enough we painted a softball black!  perfect size for his disco planet!  yes I know hard to believe I would have a softball laying around!)

Throw Back Thursday

I found this gem of a picture the other night!
My goodness Tyler and I had a great time playing together when we were little, lots of good memories!

Love you more Little Brother!

Palmer Easter

We ended Easter day at Craig and Peggy's house for our final Easter Egg Hunt!  The boys were tired but they managed to find the eggs because of course we had to have the candy!!  Seriously, all Memphis ate on Easter was candy.  He refused to eat anything else!
We had another great dinner and enjoyed spending time with Zach, Chris and Sara..oh and of course Tony!!!
Noah and Memphis getting their eggs!

And we finally got an okay picture!

More Easter Fun

Hanson Easter 2014
We had a great lunch in Creston and celebrated Emma's Birthday! Not many people get to have Easter and their birthday on the same day.
We had a great Easter Egg Hunt and had so much fun.
Just so random pictures from the egg hunt!

Love this picture of Jaycee and myself!

Easter Morning

This morning the boys woke up and got their Easter gifts.  Noah got a new baseball bat and Memphis got a new sleeping bag!  Memphis just loves sleeping bags, he crawls in them and looks up at you and says, "I just love it Mom!"
After we all got up and dressed we were ready to head to Creston for the day!
Memphis laying on his sleeping bag!

Noah is very excited to use his bat tonight!  First baseball game!

Best picture I could get of the two of them!

Happy Easter!

More pictures to come from the Hanson Easter and the Palmer Easter!  Which only means lost of Easter Egg Hunts and candy!

Hockey Game April 16

Randy and Noah were invited to go watch the Iowa Wild (hockey) with Justin (Randy's good friend and the boys' god parent) and his brother.  Noah had so much fun and both him and Randy said that they would love to go to more hockey games.  Well since that was the last game of the year I think we will be waiting until next year but that just might have to be on our winter agenda is to attend more hockey games!  Just wish I knew more about hockey...all I really know is that you need to get the puck in the goal and if you get mad at someone push them up against the glass and start a fight!  HA!  I know there is so much more than that but I seriously do not get this sport!

Silly Picture!

Mornings

Let me just say that when Memphis is crabby, watch out!  It literally took me 10 minutes to dress the kid because he wouldn't get out of bed or I should say off the floor as he slept on our floor last night in his sleeping bag.  After kicking and screaming I finally got him dressed, I felt like I needed to shower again as I was sweating and now crabby myself.  Thankfully, Noah was all dressed ready to go for the day (so happy he is self-sufficient)!
The only thing that calmed Memphis down this morning was me getting him some juice and telling him I would buy donuts this morning (gosh he is my kid)!  We stopped and got donuts and he was thrilled (Noah too, as this kind of morning always benefits him).
Thankfully, when I dropped him off at Karen's house he seemed happy, I sure hope he stays that way.

Memphis I hope you are this happy by the time I see you tonight!  Love you buddy!

Monday April 14

Our St. Joseph Statue finally arrived in the mail today!  With that being said we had to find a spot to bury him and say our prayer as a family!  We chose the flower garden next to the house and followed all of the instructions on what we were supposed to do.  Noah thought is was pretty cool to be doing this.  Lets just pray that St. Joseph works his magic, Nan (my grandma) swore by him and so does my mom and aunt.  3 wonderful ladies have such faith in St. Joseph so I think I can too!

St Joseph
Our attempt at a family picture before our prayer (Memphis wanted nothing to do with it)

St. Joseph buried!

Wednesday April 9

This week Noah started baseball practice!  He was actually pretty excited about his first practice and even after practice wanted to play catch longer and just keep trying to work at baseball.  He is excited about this year (so far)!
We look forward to a good Spring and Summer of baseball!!!
Noah loves his cleats!  He thinks they are awesome...gotta agree they are pretty awesome!  Good luck buddy!

Monday April 7

Today was not Memphis' day.  The poor little guy fell asleep by 10am and then woke up around 11am and got sick all over our bed (gross, glad I wasn't home) and Randy said that it got all over both him and Memphis (again, gross and glad I was at work)!  Randy said they both took a shower and he put Memphis in his bed where he slept until almost 2:30.  Maybe he was overly tired, who knows but when he woke up he was in a happy mood and ready to go!

The pictures that Randy sent me at work...made my day!

Remembering

In the hub bub of the month of March, I spaced off a pretty important Birthday.  Grandma Palmer's Birthday.  I know she is no longer with us, but she sure is missed by everyone.  Today it dawned on me as I was going through some old pictures and saw one of her and realized that I missed her birthday.  The picture below is of Aunt Billie(this is Grandma's sister), Randy and Grandma Palmer.
So here is my throw back Thursday!!!
What a great picture of the 3 of them!  I know, Randy misses these ladies like crazy especially the one on the right (those that don't know that is Grandma Palmer)!

Monday March 31

Wow, has March flown by or what?  I am ready for Spring and Summer to get here.  More than anything I am ready to feel that warm sun on my skin!

Tonight we celebrated Peggy and Chris' Birthdays.  Memphis was beyond excited and is just loving parties!  As we were all at the table he looked at me and said, "Party, Mom!"  Then he yelled, "Party and Happy Birthday!"

Memphis waiting in anticipation this morning for the party!
Chris and Peggy blowing out their candles!  Happy Birthday!
