Thursday January 31

Happy Birthday today to my Grandpa who turns 83!  I am so lucky to have the best Grandpa in the world.  He has done everything in his power to make sure that I have always had what I needed.  As of late he has struggled with his Alzheimer's Disease.  He has really good days and some bad ones.  I wish there was a cure for this disease as if any of you have ever had to deal with it you know what I mean.  It breaks my heart to know that he suffers through this and that there is nothing I can do but be there for him and love him.
Thank you Grandpa for loving me and my family like you have!

Wednesday January 30

Today we got another 4 inches of snow or so!  Noah and I had no school so one would think we could sleep in...not at my house!  Both boys were up and going at 5:45am!  SERIOUSLY, just SLEEP!  So instead we made the most of it with a good breakfast.  Noah wanted pancakes so that is what I made him.
I knew that my mom was headed to Florida today so I thought I would send my Aunt a picture of the snow we got and she sent me a picture of her view.  Needless to say she had the better view!

My mom is down in Florida visiting for a while and I am WAY jealous.  Wish I could be there with all of them and soaking up the sun!  Enjoy it mom because more in likely you will be coming home to terribly cold temperatures!

My view

My Aunt's view...just doesn't seem right does it?!

Sunday January 27

Today we celebrated Zach's 4th Birthday!  We went over to Chris and Sara's house for a special birthday dinner and celebration.  We had lots of fun playing and just enjoying company.  It was very nice that the boys (Noah, Zach and Memphis) all got along and there were no tears...just smiles and laughs!

Happy Birthday Zachary Tate!

Tony entertaining the boys!  Memphis thought he should sit on all the lincoln logs!

Opening gifts (Memphis thought that he should try to be in every picture)

Memphis was not digging Uncle Chris tonight

And we ended the night with singing Happy Birthday and having some Birthday brownies!

Saturday January 26

Today Noah had his Pinewood Derby Race.  He had a lot of fun watching his car that him and Randy built race against other scouts.  He didn't do as well as last year but he had fun and we talked about how we do not always win.
Peggy and Craig were able to come out and watch too.  Thankfully, they left a little early to take Memphis home as he was tired because both him and Noah thought they should be up at 4:30am!

All the Scouts lined up and ready to watch!

Way to go Noah!

Thursday January 24

First, I am no longer up those two stinking pounds I complained about last week!  I did lose 1 of those pounds last week and this week I am down another 3 pounds.  I know for some you are thinking that might not be a lot but it is for me when all I do is workout and watch what I eat.  So if I lose just a couple pounds a week I am SUPER excited.
Tomorrow we start a 3 month weight loss challenge at work and I am VERY ready for some competition and to make it fun here at work with everyone participating!  So that means tonight Randy and I are going out to eat to get one last meal in before I have to weigh in tomorrow morning (yep figure I might as well weigh a little more so next week I should have a nice number!)  Sneaky, huh!
Also my mom has started a new blog!  It is about fun crafty things she is working on.  In a sense it is just her random thoughts put onto a blog...sound familiar?!  It really is a neat blog so if you have time check it out Gracie's Hutch

Again no pictures as I just suck at getting the camera out.  But this weekend is packed full of pinewood derby races and a special Birthday!

Tuesday January 22

Okay so the cold weather can return to the arctic north.  But thankfully I have two little boys who warm our hearts!
This morning Noah and I were talking about birthdays and I told him he and Memphis just had their half birthdays over the weekend.  Noah thought that we needed to take a picture to mark the moment, too bad each boy still looks tired and needs their hair combed!

They just make me laugh!  Both sitting on the chair just smiling and laughing at each other
Memphis 18 months old!

Noah 7.5 years old!

Thursday Night January 17

Tonight we had cub scouts and Randy was in charge of the lesson for the night.  The kids were to learn about tools and woodworking.  The scouts all got to make their own bird house.  Noah had a great time and did pretty well listening to his dad teach!

Randy teaching the scouts

All finished not for sure what was up with the face!

Finished birdhouse!

Thursday January 17

(Today's post is about me venting...so only continue to read if you want to read about my self pity.)

This morning as I got up and had my daily weigh-in (yes I know I shouldn't weigh everyday) and today I was hoping to see a BIG drop in my weight as I have been working my tail off the last 5 days!  Well needless to say, I was up 2 pounds...what the HELL!!!!  I just don't get how when I eat healthy and am running and walking everyday I still gain weight.  As I got ready this morning I told myself that I must continue and the number will drop and to just be patient.  But all be damn this sucks!  Here is the thing, I have to get a better attitude today and go sweat my ass off at the gym this afternoon and continue my healthy eating (even though I wanted to stop and get a donut this morning, and chinese for supper sounds even better...but no worries I will not cave to my temptations!)

(I am done venting!)

Positive note: As I was sitting on the couch this morning and listening to Memphis talk in his bedroom.  I love this little boy to the moon and back as he is in his room just talking and the only words you can really understand are mama and dadda.  Then to make it even better when you open his door he is standing in his crib and looks up at you with this big smile and puts his arms out for you.  Priceless!

Tuesday January 15

Last night we had dinner at Great Grandma Palmer's house since we couldn't go on Monday night.  When we got home we all sat around and played for a bit.  Noah and Memphis were playing catch with the football.

Noah getting ready to play catch!

And now just loving on each other after a game of catch!

Monday January 14

So my cousin Tracy found this old picture of myself and my cousin KC.  I believe we might have been about 2ish!  But I really have no idea how old we really are.  Mom, help me out, how old was I?  I just thought this picture was adorable of us.  Thanks Tracy for sharing!

(not much going on today so you are getting a flashback photo Monday!)

Not for sure what KC has sticking out his nose but we were awfully cute!

Saturday January 12

Today we spent the day out at Tyler and Tori's house.  I got a nice workout in (running on their treadmill) while Tori cut Memphis and Noah's hair.  Memphis got his first big kid hair cut!  I love it and now he looks more like a toddler and not so much like a baby...ugh, little man is growing so FAST!

After the hair cuts and my working out we just spent the rest of the day relaxing!  Tori and I did some running around once Randy got there and we left the boys with the kids.  And we thought while we were out we might as well stop and have a grown up drink or two!  But we were nice enough to stop and get pizza from the Tavern.  We got to their house watched some football and headed home.

It was a nice to spend the day with them.  Noah and Jaycee played a ton and got along for most of the day.  Hence why there is no pictures of them as they were playing and were not around for pictures.  Glad they get along so well and that we do not have to worry about them too much!  (key work...too much!)

Tori and Riggins with Molly and Muffin (these are their new dogs and they are super great dogs)

You can kind of see Memphis' new cut (yeah he wouldn't hold still long enough for me to get a good picture, so my mission this week is to get a good picture)

Tyler and Randy watching some football.

Tuesday January 8

Tonight Memphis finally started to say, "Mama!"  I couldn't be happier.  He was saying it over and over again and it was so fun to hear him say mama!  Memphis knows who everyone is in our house.  If we ask him to go to Noah he will, he loves Noah and loves to sit with him, on him, and just be around him.
I have been bad about taking photos lately, but I promise to get the camera back out soon.
Also, I have started another workout program that I want to share.  First, I did do well last year as I lost 38 pounds from February to December.  Now I want to continue that even further and I have started a program called from couch to 5K.  My goal is to run in my first 5K late spring/early summer!  So, if you see me ask me how I am doing as I am only in day 2 of it but surprisingly it is going pretty well and I am enjoying it...yes I do not like to run but I am hoping I will learn to like it! haha!!!
Memphis eating a cookie!  Don't you just love those little fingers?!

Sunday January 6

Tonight we decided that Memphis should try out his booster seat to see how he does.  He LOVED it and even ate off a plate without throwing the plate and the food all over.  My goodness he is getting so big and smart!  We love it!!!

Check me out!

Eating and not throwing food and the plate on the floor...okay well he did try to feed the dogs a little bit!

January 2

This is how Memphis eats these days!  Food on top of head!  He is one silly kid.

Chirstmas Break December 27-Jan 1

We didn't do much over our Christmas Break.  Noah played and played with his new toys and even ventured outside to play a few times!  Memphis just played inside with all of his new toys.
New Years Randy and I went to my friend Wendy's house to celebrate while Peggy and Craig watched Memphis for us.  It was nice to get out for a bit!  We had a wonderful New Years!  I hope you all have a great year.

Noah playing in the snow!

Wednesday December 26

Today Memphis and I went shopping with Tori, Jaycee and Riggins.  We had lots of fun shopping, having lunch and playing.  We decided that we need to do this more often!  We also got some great deals.

This was the end of the day and we were just enjoying some pretzels at the mall!

Tuesday December 25

Here is what we did on most days over break!  This was Christmas Day and nothing like a morning nap after some hard playing with all of our new toys.

Daddy and Memphis all cuddled together in the blanket that Memphis got Daddy for Christmas!

Christmas Day

Today we slept in and spent the afternoon at Randy's Aunt's house (Nancy).  We had our Christmas with Nancy and Grandma Bailey.  Tony also joined us!  We had a wonderful afternoon of food and games.
Memphis eating his Santa cookie that Aunt Nancy got for him!

Thanks Nancy for the yummy and VERY messy cookie!

December 24

Today we celebrated Christmas.  We have Noah on Christmas Eve so we had to speak to Santa and remind him that he had to show up a day early!  Thankfully, Santa remembered and he visited our house.
Memphis woke up before anyone else and when he saw the presents the first words from him were, "Oh G," not for sure what that means but it was so funny and cute!
After Christmas at our house we went to Randy's parents' house and had a great dinner and fun opening gifts.
That night we headed to Randy's grandma's house for another Christmas.
The day was spent with family that was filled with fun and laughter!

Max and Jax made their last appearance in Memphis and Noah's stockings!

LOVE the look of happiness on a little boy's face

Randy wearing his apron that Noah made for him.

Palmer Christmas

Tony bought all the guys new stocking hats to wear!  We love them!
Memphis just wanted to be part of the action so bad...but he just didn't have a hat to wear!

But he did have some cool shades that he got from Chris and Sara

Great Grandma Palmer's Christmas

We had a great time ending our Christmas at Great Grandma's house!  Both of the boys got VERY nice gifts but as you can see from the picture, Memphis loved the box!

Memphis and the ladies! (Great Grandma, Mesa, and Morgan)
