October 25

With Halloween right around the corner this weekend, Randy and I thought we should have the boys carve their pumpkins!  It was a great night to have some quality family time. Memphis loved every part of carving the pumpkin, he even didn't mind putting his hands in and getting them all gooey!!!  Noah has normal was a pro!  He went with an old design he did when he was 5!  It turned out just as good this time around.

Here are just a few pictures of the fun!

Sunday October 16

Today we took our family pictures...sorry do not have any yet, but I know that Britney will have taken plenty of good ones...well I hope she did!  We were not an easy crew to handle as the boys had a lot of energy and were hungry!  I can't wait to see them!
After pictures we went to lunch at Jethros (the original over by Drake Campus).  I wish I would have taken a picture of us all but I have one of myself and Memphis.

October 15

Today we decided that we should take the kids to a pumpkin patch (however we only had time for about 2-3 hours and we didn't want to spend the money at a big pumpkin patch for only a couple of hours).  With that in mind we decided to go to Iowa Orchard with Kelli and her boys.  It was perfect for the little dudes.  Obviously, if we have more time we will be going to the bigger ones but this worked great for the boys to burn off some energy and to get some great caramel apples!

I love these two!

October 13 Conference

Today I got to attend a Mental Health Conference in Des Moines.  It was simply amazing.  I learned some great stuff today.  However, I got to be there with Ashley.  And I got to listen to Ashley's presentation.  She did an amazing job and I was so proud to be apart of her sharing her expertise with educators.

October 9

This weekend we headed down to Creston as my mom and Brent were in town to celebrate one of her friend's wedding.  While she was in town we also decided to celebrate Jaycee's 9th Birthday!
Crazy that Jaycee Mae is 9 years old.  We had a great time just being with family.  It was a great Sunday!

Not the best picture but Jaycee is opening her gifts!

Another not so good photo (I am so ready for my new phone to get here).  But gotta love these two!

And he loves his grammy!

One last picture

I totally forgot to post the photo booth picture from Brooke's wedding.
It was so much fun!  I also took more pictures but let other people keep the picture!

September 30-October 1

Last weekend Randy and I headed to Chicago to celebrate Brooke and Bill's wedding.  I have known Brooke for years!  She is Brandi's little sister.  Essentially, Brooke got to hang out with the two coolest people for most of her childhood!  I would say she was pretty lucky, minus the times we told her to leave us alone and to find her own friends!  HA!

Friday night we went to Giordano's Pizza for the rehearsal dinner.  AMAZING pizza and now it is ALL I crave.
Cheers to Bill and Brooke

Loved catching up with Michelle and Brandi

Saturday morning, Randy and I were up early so we thought we would head to downtown Chicago to have breakfast and walk around!  Unfortunately, by the time we arrived to the restaurant it was raining (down pouring) and we had no place to park.  We eventually found a parking garage (dear lord it was expensive to park) and walked to the restaurant.  Thankfully it was only a couple blocks away.  But when we got there (soaking wet, with no umbrella) the wait was an hour long!  We decided that we didn't want to wait and continue to pay parking so back we went.  Now it was really raining and we were even more soaked.  After we dried off on the ride back out to the suburbs we were hungry and I wanted to go to IKEA.  Breakfast at IKEA isn't too bad.  And it was Randy's first time shopping at IKEA!!!  I think he liked it!
This was on the way back to the parking garage.  Raining so hard that we had to stop so I could make sure that my contacts hadn't fallen out.

Not a Trump fan but thought this was a cool building!

After shopping and getting all dried off we headed back to the resort for some rest and get ready for the wedding!
The wedding was simply beautiful.  It was at a Greek Orthodox Church (Bill is Greek).  Amazing ceremony.  It is always neat to see how different religions celebrate marriage.

Brooke was a BEAUTIFUL BRIDE!

After the wedding we all headed back to the resort so that we could all get on the chartered bus that took us all to the reception.  The reception was also amazing.  Dinner was steak, baked potato, and green beans with all the wine one could want!  Lots of Greek desserts made by Bill's family...delicious!

On the party bus!

Group picture!

John (Brandi and Brooke's dad) getting drinks for everyone!

Love you Brookie!

Meagan (one of the bridesmaids and long time friend of mine from Creston)

Myself, Brandi and Michelle

Myself, Bailey (Brandi and Brooke's little sister), Brandi and Erin (friend from Creston)

All of us together!  Love these girls!  We always have a lot of fun together!

I wish Randy and I would have gotten a picture of the two of us but we had a wonderful time.  We wouldn't have been able to do this without the help of Peggy and Craig who had the boys, so thank you very much for this!

Trying to get caught up!

Okay so instead of back tracking through all of the months that I have missed I am going to do one big post!  So here is the end of July-September!

On July 26 Randy and I celebrated 8 years of marriage!  It has been great, I am one lucky lady to have a great husband and a guy that is an incredible dad.

Then in early August we headed to an Iowa Cubs game with my dad, Tara and Emma!  Great night to watch some baseball!!!
By mid-August: Memphis had to have shots for school (as you can see from him holding his finger).  He was so upset about the finger prick.  However, after that we got to go to my mom's house for the weekend.  You can see by the pictures of us out on the boat we had a fantastic time.  The boys loved being on the boat.  It was also that weekend that Noah got to stay a few extra days with mom and Brent.  He had a blast!

End of August
-Memphis and myself headed out to another Iowa Cubs game but this time with Peggy, Sara, Bailey and Zach.  It was a great night, Zach went down on the field and played catch!
-The boys and I started school.  Noah is in 6th grade, Memphis started out in kindergarten but we decided it was a bit fast for him so we moved him down to developmental kindergarten and he will go next year to kindergarten when he is more prepared!
September
-Bailey turned 2!!!  We had fun at her birthday party.
-Memphis and I headed to Creston for Balloon Days weekend.  We got to see the balloons up close this year and we enjoyed the parade!
-Emma went to her first high school Homecoming dance!  Hard to believe she is a 9th grader.  She is also playing volleyball and just made the varsity team!  YAY!
-Memphis just recently started taking the bus to school in the afternoon when he attends!  He loves riding the bus!
