Back Tracking!

Well I do not know how I forgot to post about Randy's Birthday, but I did!
We didn't do a ton to celebrate.  I took him for sushi (seems like that is our go to for his birthday)!  Then he got to go to Scouts where he decided to become the WEBELOS Leader!
I thought we would celebrate over the weekend but that was taken up by my reunion so that was a no go, but thankfully on Sunday his Mom and Dad had a wonderful party for him.
So Happy Birthday Randy!  I love you more!

Wednesday September 24

Today at school for me was Superhero Day (Homecoming week dress up days).  I was opting to not dress up for this day but Memphis did!  Or well this is how he woke up.  Ready to go as Superman if needed!

It is also Homecoming Week at Noah's school and his day was crazy hair day.  So his hair was crazy!

Reunion Weekend September 19-20

Friday I took off for Creston all by myself.  We were having our annual garage sale at Tyler's house.  After we had everything set up, Tori and I headed to the golf course.  We had a few adult beverages followed by more in the club house (lots of people buy you drinks when they haven't seen you in a while!)
After some drinking in the club house Tori and I headed home so that I could get ready for my meet and greet at the Windrow (a sports bar) for my 15 year Class Reunion.  I had a great time at the meet and greet.  Caught up with some old friends and had even more drinks!  Geez, a fun night but I was not used to that kind of fun!

Saturday morning/afternoon we had the garage sale.  I sold a TON of baby clothes and the high chair.  Feels good to get rid of big items that take up a lot of room and have some extra cash in my pocket!  We were hoping the balloons would go up but they never did.  Shucks!

Saturday night was the BIG 15 YEAR REUNION!  Randy and I met up with Brandi and Michelle (at good ol' John's house {Brandi's dad}).  We ate dinner with them and then Ashley joined us for a couple of drinks (seems like a common theme for me this weekend).  Then we headed to the reunion.  Again, it was good to catch up with people I hadn't talked to in years.  We heard some really good stories from classmates that will have us taking until our 20 year reunion.  I am also so thankful that Michelle went with Brandi as Randy and Michelle hit it off and Brandi and I felt like we could leave those two to talk and we could mingle!

Randy and the girls (Myself, Randy, Ashley, Michelle and Brandi)  Ashley, Brandi and I all felt like we were leaving for a dance as this was the usual spot for dance pictures in the Miller house!

And random pictures of the night with good friends!

Tuesday September 16

This morning both boys were wearing their Columbia jackets that Randy got for them while he was out in Oregon!
I about cracked up laughing during this picture as both Noah and Memphis have the exact same smile...brothers...yeah I think so!

It's Monday

We had a great weekend.  Randy got home late Thursday night from Oregon.  You never realize how much you depend on someone else when parenting!  Randy doesn't normally travel for work so being on your own for 5 days is tough!  I think we were all happy to see him when he got home!  I know Memphis was as on Thursday night I told Memphis that when he wakes up in the morning that daddy would be home.  When he got up, he went running right past me and went right to our bedroom and woke daddy up!  He was thrilled to see daddy!

We took it easy most of the weekend.  I had to do some work (quilting and making dutch letters) but once that was done it was time to just hang out, if you call hanging out (painting, yes we are still painting, I took a month break, now its time to finish) we also worked on landscaping around the garage.  (this sounds like relaxation, right!)

Memphis is into making faces lately.  This is one that Randy sent me!
Memphis calls this his happy face!  Seriously where he gets this from, I have no idea!  But I find it hilarious!

Monday September 8

Both boys woke up in a great mood this morning.  Memphis found it very important that he wear his green hat!  He cracks me up!  Noah had to ride in the middle so that Memphis could watch him play on his iPod.

Happy Monday!

Sunday September 7

This morning started another year of Sunday School.  Grandma Peggy stopped over to take the boys to Sunday School.  She said Memphis was busy!  Big Surprise!  But he did do what was asked of him.  (makes me happy).  And of course Noah always does well during Sunday School.
While the boys were at church Randy and I got some last minute running around done as he is leaving for Oregon for 5 days.

Boys are ready for Sunday School.
After we dropped Randy off at the airport and we all took our naps we headed over to Peggy and Craig's for dinner! The boys played outside and were able to burn off their energy!  They had a good time with Zach and I had a good time with sweet little Bailey!
Playing in the sandbox!

I think Zach has out grown the car!  What a hoot he is!

Randy called us before bed time tonight and sent us pictures of this waterfall that his boss took him too after he picked him up from the airport.

Monday September 1

Early this morning, Chris and Sara welcomed Bailey Marie Palmer into this world.  She is healthy and a happy baby girl!  Sara is also doing well.
Once we got to the hospital Noah was all about holding Bailey (sweet) but Memphis didn't want anything to do with her.  He kept saying he was scared.  So we didn't push it.
Sweet Baby Girl!  Welcome to our family Miss Bailey Marie!

We did finally get Memphis to stand by her and then even sit with Randy!  On Tuesday Memphis was very excited about Bailey!  I think he had to get used to the idea that there was a baby!

Saturday August 30

On Saturday Ashley and I hung out all day at my mom's store!  I decided that Ashley and I should make a craft (yes me crafting...weird!)  I saw this really cute way to make a wreath.  So that is what we did!!   But before we crafted we went to breakfast in Lansing and I introduced Ashley to Horsefall's (this terrible little store that has everything but I believe it is a fire hazard as you are cram packed in there)!

Before starting our wreaths

Finished product!

After we crafted for a while we went to the look out point.  BEAUTIFUL!

And our selfies!

Friday Night August 29

I decided to get away for a quick girls weekend trip up to my mom's house.  Ashley was the privileged one to get to come along with me!  On the way to mom's we thought we would stop at the Casino and play some penny slots (yep lost all of our pennies)!  And then have dinner (that was a lose too).
Casino stop!

Once out of the Casino we got back to driving.  We had just passed Waterloo and when all of a sudden this BIG raccoon that was traveling at the speed of light got in my way!  Well there was no slowing down on the interstate with cars behind you so we hit him right on!  UGH!  However, we didn't think there was any damage as the car seemed fine.  YA!  So we traveled on.  That was until we exited off.  Then we heard what I like to call the snow plow sound.  We got out of the car and noticed that the bumper was cracked and the spoiler was hanging making the "snow plow sound!"  So we stayed on the side of the road until we took some pictures and asked what we should do.  Both Randy and Brent said that we should just continue on.  The snow plow sound only happened when we slowed down, so all of the people in the little towns we went through probably wondered what the hell was going on!
Spoiler hanging down!
Then about 10 minutes from mom's house we hit another raccoon.  Yep you read that right another one!  Seriously who hits 2 raccoons.  Thankfully, this one didn't do any damage as the damage was already done with the bumper and spoiler.  The spoiler just made it easier to hit him...yuck!
